MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis beauty school was shut down and accused of unprofessional conduct.
The State of Tennessee claimed Pyramid Beauty School had instructors teaching classes they were not qualified for.
The lights might have been out on Wednesday, but the doors at the school were closed after the state revoked their license.
No one is learning or working in the building on Madison Avenue anymore after the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance revealed something shady might have been going on inside.
The state said master barber instructors taught cosmetology students how to give manicures despite the fact those instructors were not certified to do that.
The state also alleged several mistakes in attendance records and students’ hours.
